Miami pairs beach days with serious culture and food. Base yourself near South Beach and you can walk much of day one, then branch out on day two.
Day 1 — South Beach & Art Deco
Stroll Ocean Drive and the Art Deco Historic District — the pastel 1930s buildings Miami is famous for — then relax on South Beach. Evenings here are lively with restaurants and music.
Day 2 — Culture & neighbourhoods
See the Wynwood Walls open-air street-art district, then Little Havana (Calle Ocho) for Cuban coffee, cigars and music. With extra time, the Vizcaya estate and gardens are stunning.
Getting around
- South Beach is walkable; use ride-share or a car for Wynwood, Little Havana and downtown.
- The free Metromover loop is handy around downtown.
Worth knowing
It's hot and humid most of the year, with a hurricane season roughly June–November — pack light clothes, sunscreen and a rain layer. Spanish is widely spoken, and a little goes a long way.
